Ranchi: Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri held a crucial meeting with senior officers of the district on Monday at the Collectorate Block-A. During the meeting, he expressed concern over the rising number of deaths in Ranchi due to drink and drive incidents. He directed the officers to launch a campaign aimed at curbing this dangerous trend, with the goal of significantly reducing the number of fatalities.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the district administration is taking various public concerns seriously, including law and order issues, occupation of government land, drink and drive cases, noise pollution, pending complaints, and land disputes. He stressed the need for officers to be committed, sensitive, and proactive in addressing these issues.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri urged the officers to be punctual in attending office and to give more attention to resolving public grievances. He also highlighted the importance of addressing complaints efficiently to maintain the trust of the people in the district administration.

The Deputy Commissioner called for faster resolution of complaints received through Abua Sathi, the public complaint cell. He stressed that speeding up the disposal of these complaints would help build greater confidence among the citizens in the district administration. Bhajantri also urged the officers to eliminate the influence of brokers and middlemen in various district offices, warning that legal action would be taken against those involved in such practices. The public was encouraged to report any such activities directly to Abua Sathi.

Addressing the issue of noise pollution, Bhajantri directed the officers to take immediate action against noise disturbances in areas like beer bars, restaurants, banquet halls, and other places in Ranchi and nearby areas. He reassured the public that complaints about noise pollution could also be lodged at the nearest police station for swift action.

The Deputy Commissioner also discussed the formation of a special cell to address land dispute cases. The cell will ensure that laws protecting against violations of the CNT Act, government land encroachment, land fraud, and related crimes are properly enforced.

The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar Ranchi) Utkarsh Kumar, Additional Collector (Ranchi) Ramnarayan Singh, and other senior officials of the district.

Through these initiatives, the Deputy Commissioner aims to improve the efficiency of the district administration while tackling pressing issues like drink and drive accidents, noise pollution, land disputes, and public complaints.
