On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary, heartfelt tributes were paid to the Father of the Nation at Bapu Vatika in Morhabadi Maidan. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren offered floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and remembered his ideals and teachings. The program featured artists from a devotional music group who performed Gandhi’s favorite bhajans and Ramdhun. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar said that Mahatma Gandhi’s life continues to be a source of inspiration for all citizens. He emphasized that following Gandhi’s ideals should be a responsibility for every individual. The Governor also expressed gratitude to the Government of India, noting that the late former Chief Minister Shibu Soren was awarded the Padma Bhushan, which he described as a matter of pride for Jharkhand. He added that this honor reflects the government’s sensitivity towards the state, and the name of the late Shibu Soren will forever remain immortal. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that Mahatma Gandhi is being remembered across the country today. He highlighted that Gandhi’s personality, philosophy, sacrifice, struggle, and ideals continue to inspire not only India but the entire world. The Chief Minister added that only by following the path shown by Gandhi can the dream of a prosperous state, a developed country, and a world of peaceful coexistence be realized. On the occasion, Minister Deepika Pandey Singh and Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji also offered floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. The program created an environment filled with devotion and respect, and all attendees were inspired by Gandhi’s timeless messages of truth, non-violence, and service to humanity.
