Ranchi: Lower Bazaar police have arrested three criminals with illegal weapons and a stolen bike. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sheikh Afroz alias Putilal from Sadar police station, Mo Ashfaq Ansari from Namkum police station, and Asif Siddiqui.
The police recovered several items from the suspects, including eight rounds of a revolver, one pistol with a magazine, eight bullets, one Hero Passion bike, and a mobile phone.
Lower Bazaar police station in-charge Dayanand Kumar informed that the arrest followed a tip-off received by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). Acting on the information, a raid team was formed, led by Khadgarha TOP in-charge Diwakar Kumar and ASI Bhim Singh. During a routine vehicle check, three youths on a bike tried to flee from Kanta Toli Chowk towards Kokar Chowk upon noticing the police. The police team immediately pursued the suspects and apprehended them in a dilapidated room in Basudev Nagar.
Upon searching the suspects, the police recovered illegal firearms, ammunition, and the stolen bike. The arrested individuals also have a history of criminal activity. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
