Ranchi, July 22, 2024 – Ranchi Police has made a significant breakthrough by arresting Uttar Pradesh shooter Rahul Jaiswal in connection with the firing on former councillor Ved Prakash Singh.
Addressing a press conference, SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha revealed that the shooter was allegedly given a contract of Rs 70,000 to carry out the murder. He further added that efforts are on to nab others involved in the conspiracy.
Earlier, the police had detained Satyam Pathak, who was identified as the gunman, along with mastermind Dheeraj Mishra and an accomplice. The motive behind the murder dates back three years, when Dheeraj Mishra, upset over a quarrel during Saraswati Puja, hatched a murderous conspiracy against Ved Prakash Singh.
The police investigation is underway and is gathering clues to nab all those involved in the crime.
