Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren today flagged off six awareness raths, taking a significant step towards achieving the goal of drug-free Jharkhand. During the programme, Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren emphasised on the collective responsibility of citizens in ensuring a drug-free society. He highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse on the individual, family and society and stressed the importance of awareness and preventive measures.
Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren said, “These awareness raths will play a vital role in educating people about the dangers of drug abuse and motivating them to stay away from such destructive habits.”
This includes four raths for Ranchi and one each for Ramgarh and Khunti districts. These raths will move around cities and remote villages from June 19 to 26 and make people aware about the ill-effects of drugs and ways to avoid it. Minister Shri Satyanand Bhokta, MLA Shri Jiga Susaran Horo, Chief Secretary Shri L. Khiangte, Several dignitaries were present including Principal Secretary Smt. Vandana Dadel and Director General of Police Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, who highlighted the collaborative efforts in this crucial operation.
