Police seized huge quantity of doda in Ranchi

Ranchi: Namkum police on Tuesday caught a truck carrying huge quantity of doda. Police successfully caught the truck on the information of SSP Chandan Sinha. The value of doda is estimated to be around one crore rupees.

Officials had received information in advance that a consignment of doda was going from Khunti via Ranchi. After this, police stations were alerted. Early in the morning, a truck similar to this description was seen on the ring road adjacent to Namkum. On seeing the presence of police, the smugglers abandoned the vehicle and fled into the nearby forests. Despite being chased by the police, the smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
