A vibrant celebration was organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024 at Sewa Project Sewa Dham, Gudidih, Jonha, Ranchi, where 250 children from Sewa Bharati Shishu Vidya Mandir and Bal Sanskar Kendras enthusiastically participated in the mass yoga sessions. The event organized by Sewa Bharati Jharkhand also witnessed the inauguration of a new 40-seater school bus funded from the Corporate Social Responsibility contribution of Central Coalfields Limited.
At the inaugural ceremony, SS Lal, General Manager, CSR, CCL, Ranchi inaugurated the school bus amidst traditional rituals of coconut breaking and green flagging off. Addressing the gathering, SS Lal expressed his happiness and appreciated Sewa Bharati for promoting cultural education and skill development in remote areas, while emphasizing their role in promoting the spirit of nationalism among children. He reaffirmed CCL’s commitment to support Sewa Bharati’s initiatives for village development. Former DGP Smt. Nirmala Kaur attended as a special guest and urged the villagers to prioritize the education of their children. Former CMD CCL Gopal Singh highlighted the importance of yoga for maintaining physical and mental health and stressed its role in building a healthy nation. He praised India’s global prominence in various fields and its continuous progress. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Girish Malhotra. The function was also attended by Gurusharan Prasad of Rashtriya Seva Bharati, Radheshyam Agarwal, Pawan Mantri, Nandlal Sahu, Shyam Tarka, Suvendu Bhatt, Chandan Mishra, Ajay Dadhichi, Umashankar Sharma, Akhilesh Srivastava including local villagers who underlined the community participation and support for the educational initiative.
