PM Narendra Modi to visit Varanasi, release Rs 20,000 crore to farmers

Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Varanasi at 4 pm on Tuesday on a two-day visit. This will be his first Varanasi visit after assuming power for the third consecutive term. The Prime Minister’s agenda includes several important programmes aimed at promoting agricultural welfare and cultural heritage.

PM Modi will begin his tour by interacting with farmers during the Kisan Samman Sammelan, where he will release the 17th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi. The initiative aims to disburse over Rs 20,000 crore to 9.26 crore beneficiary farmers across the country.

After the Sammelan, at 7 pm, PM Modi will participate in the iconic Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. He will then offer prayers and visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple.

The PM’s schedule for June 19 includes a visit to Nalanda in Bihar followed by the inauguration of the Nalanda University campus in Rajgir.
