Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has strongly criticized BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking in Ranchi, Jharkhand, Ramesh said the country is aware of Modi’s habitual lies, highlighting Modi’s false claim of not being involved in Hindu-Muslim politics. Ramesh highlighted Modi’s frequent use of communal language and symbols and urged the Election Commission to take action.
Declaring that the “400-Paar” slogan is now just a dream for Modi and the BJP, Ramesh predicted a majority for the INDIA alliance. Criticizing Modi’s polarizing language and BJP’s manifesto, he called the elections a fight to save the Constitution.
INDIA alliance ready for majority
Ramesh stressed that the goal of India Alliance is to save democracy and parliamentary principles. He highlighted PM Modi’s empty promises and polarizing language and said the alliance is united to protect the Constitution. Ramesh claimed that the alliance was on its way to majority after the first four phases of elections
Modi’s Hindu-Muslim political agenda
Ramesh accused Modi of focusing only on Hindu-Muslim politics during his campaign. He said the public has rejected the BJP’s manifesto and exposed the failure of Modi’s promises. Ramesh stressed INDIA allience commitment to equitable development.
Congress’s commitment toward 25 NYAY
Ramesh praised the Congress manifesto, saying it has been widely downloaded and supports equality, farmer justice, women’s justice, labor justice and youth justice. He noted the impact of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, in which Congress promised loan waiver, increase in MNREGA wages and a regular caste census
