Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren arrived in London after visiting Davos. Other members of the delegation were also with them. On reaching London, they were warmly welcomed by Jharkhandi scholars and members of the Jharkhandi diaspora living there.

Warm Welcome with Traditional Songs and Music
The Jharkhandi community in London welcomed Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife, Kalpana Murmu Soren, with traditional tribal songs, music, and dance. The beats of drums and Jharkhandi folk songs created an emotional and memorable atmosphere. Seeing the culture of Jharkhand on foreign soil, both the Chief Minister and his wife became emotional. Chief Minister Hemant Soren thanked everyone for the warm welcome. He said that receiving such love and respect from his own people late at night in London deeply touched him. “I am overwhelmed by your affection and honor. I am speechless. It makes us proud that even while living in London, you are keeping the identity and culture of Jharkhand alive,” he said.

Kalpana Murmu Soren Expressed Gratitude
MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren, who is also the Chairperson of the Women and Child Development Committee of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, also expressed her heartfelt thanks. She said that the loving welcome by Jharkhandi scholars and members of the diaspora meant a lot to them. She greeted everyone with “Jharkhandi Johar” and thanked them for their affection. The Jharkhandi scholars and members of the diaspora in London were very happy and emotional to meet their Chief Minister and his wife. Through traditional songs and music, they showed their love, respect, and unity.
