Jairam Mahto’s JBKSS to contest 55 seats in Jharkhand assembly polls

Ranchi: Jharkhandi Bhasha Sangharsh Samiti (JBKSS) leader Jairam Mahto has announced that his party will contest 55 seats in the upcoming state assembly election. Addressing the media at Oxygen Park in Ranchi, Mahto outlined the party’s electoral strategy, focusing on local issues and youth empowerment.

Mahto, who contested as an independent candidate from the Giridih Lok Sabha constituency, emphasised that the JBKSS had contested 8 Lok Sabha seats, which comprise 46 assembly constituencies. As a result, the party plans to field its candidates in these assembly constituencies as well as select constituencies in Jamshedpur, Khunti and Godda Lok Sabha constituencies, taking the total number to around 55.

The main issues driving the JBKSS’s campaign include addressing the grievances of Jharkhand’s youth and students, particularly focusing on the need for fair examinations and competitive processes. Mahato promised strict action against any irregularities in the examinations and said that even high-ranking officials would be dismissed in such cases.
