Ranchi, July 26, 2024 — IPS Anurag Gupta on Friday officially took over as the in-charge Director General of Police of Jharkhand. This change in leadership comes amid high-level transfers in the state’s police department ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
The recent reshuffle saw changes in key positions in Jharkhand Police. Ajay Kumar Singh, who was earlier playing an important role, has been appointed to Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Limited. Prashant Kumar Singh, who was working in Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Limited, has been transferred to the Communication and Technical Branch.
The Home Department has issued a formal notification regarding these changes.
