The 78th Army Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride on Thursday in the Jagatpura area of Jaipur. A grand parade was organized on this occasion, where the Indian Army displayed its strength, discipline, and modern military capabilities. The theme of the event was “Indian Army: Valor and Sacrifice,” paying tribute to brave soldiers who have laid down their lives for the nation. The parade highlighted India’s growing indigenous defense power. Advanced military equipment such as the BrahMos missile, Arjun tank, and K-9 Vajra artillery system were showcased, drawing wide attention from the audience. The display reflected India’s steady progress towards self-reliance in defense. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi paid homage to the martyrs. During the ceremony, General Dwivedi posthumously awarded Army Medals to five soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The moment was emotional and filled with pride and respect. The sky echoed with the sound of Dhruv and Rudra helicopters as they flew over the parade ground. Paratroopers performed thrilling stunts, which were met with loud applause and cheers from the spectators. Addressing the gathering, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said that the Indian Army is adopting modern technology and improving training to become a “future-ready force.” He added that the army is fully prepared to face all kinds of challenges. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who attended the Army Day celebrations in Jaipur, said that Operation Sindoor is still ongoing and will continue until terrorist ideology is completely eliminated. He described the operation as a symbol of the Indian Army’s courage, restraint, and maturity. The Defense Minister also made it clear that action against terrorists has been taken with careful planning and with respect for humanitarian values.
