Communist Party of India (CPI) celebrated the 129th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on Friday at the CPI state office on Main Road. Party leaders garlanded Netaji’s portrait, offered floral tributes, and paid homage to him. During the program, CPI state executive committee member and district secretary Ajay Singh said that Netaji’s dream of a strong and united India remains unfulfilled even today. He reminded that Netaji had formed the Garam Dal at the Ramgarh session. Ajay Singh also highlighted Netaji’s special connection with Ranchi, mentioning that he had visited the city several times during the freedom struggle and stayed here for some time. He urged the government to preserve the places where Netaji stayed in Ranchi and to include his biography in school curricula to honor his legacy. Ajay Singh also spoke about current challenges. He said that today politics in the country is being played in the name of caste and religion, unemployment and inflation are at high levels, and the central government is misleading people in the name of religion. He appealed to the people of Jharkhand to unite secular parties and work together to protect democracy, the constitution, and the country’s freedom. Several senior party leaders and workers were present at the program, including Manoj Thakur, Shyamal Chakraborty, Mehul Kumar, Rajesh Yadav, Yogendra Singh, Mahendra Kumar, Vijay Verma, and Sanjeet Kumar.
