Clash between Police and Criminal in Khagaul – Manager Rai Injured

A gunfight broke out between the police and a criminal in the Khagaul police station area of ​​Danapur district on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. The incident took place in the Khagaul area, where the police had surrounded the criminals. The police had received information that Manager Rai, a criminal from Didarganj, was hiding in the Khagaul area. Acting on this information, a police team cordoned off the area and attempted to apprehend him. Seeing himself surrounded, Manager Rai opened fire on the police. The police retaliated. During the exchange of fire, the criminal was shot and injured. After overpowering him, the police arrested him and admitted him to AIIMS Patna for treatment, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

According to police officials, Manager Rai is involved in the murder of Dr. Mohammad Anwar Alam, which took place in the Khagaul police station area in 2022.  Besides this, several serious criminal cases, including extortion, robbery, and murder, are registered against him. Several other cases against him are being registered in different police stations. Following the incident, police activity has been increased in the area.
