In a meeting held on developmental and welfare initiatives chaired by Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren in the presence of Principal Secretaries/Secretaries, instructions were given to expedite the progress of Abua Housing Scheme in Jharkhand.
The highlights of the meeting are as follows:
Speeding up housing construction: Chief Minister Soren stressed the urgent need to expedite the construction of houses sanctioned under the Abua Housing Scheme. Along with releasing the initial funds for 2 lakh houses and sanctioning their first installment, he directed the officials to expedite the construction activities.
Ensuring accessibility of construction material: Understanding the financial constraints faced by the beneficiaries of the scheme, who are mainly from economically deprived backgrounds, Chief Minister Soren urged the officials to facilitate access to construction material like sand at minimum rates. The initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on the beneficiaries and expedite the housing construction process.
Transparent selection process: To uphold the principles of transparency and fairness, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of maintaining complete transparency in the process of selection of beneficiaries for the Abua Housing Scheme. The aim of this direction is to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach those who are really in need.
Timely disbursement of funds: CM Soren directed the officials to expedite the release of the second installment of funds to the beneficiaries who have satisfactorily completed the first phase of construction under the Abua Housing Scheme. The measure is aimed at providing timely financial assistance to facilitate the completion of housing projects.
Strict action against irregularities: Chief Minister Soren gave a stern warning to the officials, saying that any kind of irregularity or negligence in the implementation of the Abua Housing Scheme will not be tolerated. He reiterated his commitment to accountability and transparency and warned of strict action against those found guilty of misconduct or dereliction of duty.
