Bihar’s new government held its first cabinet meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The meeting took place in the Cabinet Hall of the main secretariat. A total of 43 agendas were discussed and approved. All cabinet ministers, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, were present.

According to sources, the meeting was particularly important because it focused on implementing the promises made by the NDA to the public during the 2025 assembly elections. The government made it clear that development, employment, and investment will be its top priorities in 2026. The cabinet also approved the creation of new posts in several departments, which will increase government job opportunities for the youth of Bihar. In addition, it decided that the budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly will be held from February 2 to February 27. Notifications related to 41 of the agendas have already been issued. During the meeting, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar instructed all ministers to ensure that every department works effectively to speed up development, create jobs, and attract investment. Experts say this meeting is the first major step toward the new government’s priorities and development plans.
