Ranchi: Babulal Marandi, the State President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Leader of Opposition, has strongly criticized the Hemant Soren-led state government, calling it “anti-Hindu” and accusing it of protecting miscreants while taking action against the victims.
On Sunday, Marandi took to social media to express his concerns, stating that his fears regarding the Holi violence in Ghorthamba, Giridih, have been proven true. He had earlier predicted that the administration might take action against the Hindu victims of the violence to make the case appear balanced, while protecting the real culprits. Marandi now claims that the FIR registered in the case seems less like a legitimate complaint and more like a “pre-planned blueprint” aimed at targeting the Hindu community.
Marandi emphasized that the way the incident was described in the FIR suggested that Hindus were being blamed for the violence simply for celebrating Holi under the rule of the Congress-JMM government. According to Marandi, the FIR implies that celebrating a Hindu festival could lead to attacks with bottle bombs and stones, and then the victims would be blamed for the incident.
He accused the Hemant Soren government of appeasement and stated that the FIR shows a clear anti-Hindu bias. Marandi believes that the FIR was part of a well-planned conspiracy to put the Hindu victims on trial while protecting the actual perpetrators. He also warned that this act of framing the victims would embolden miscreants and encourage them to carry out similar violent attacks against Hindus in the future.
