Prof. Aditya Prasad Sahu, the acting state president of BJP Jharkhand, filed his nomination for the post of state president today at the party’s state office. The event was held in the presence of State Election Officer Mr. Juel Oraon and witnessed by several senior party leaders. Among those present were Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi, Union Minister Annapurna Devi, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, former state president Deepak Prakash, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai, Dr. Dineshanand Goswami, Pradeep Kumar Verma, MP Vidyut Baran Mahato, and other senior BJP leaders. Their presence highlighted the party’s support and consensus around Prof. Sahu’s nomination. Media sources indicate that Prof. Aditya Sahu is almost certain to become the new state president of BJP Jharkhand. The nomination process for the election of the state president and 21 members of the National Council was completed on Tuesday. The nomination window was set from 12 PM to 2 PM. For the position of state president, only Prof. Aditya Sahu filed his nomination. No other leader submitted their nomination, making him the sole candidate. Due to this single nomination, his election as the state president is considered almost certain. However, the official announcement will be made on January 14. The party in-charge and Union Minister Juel Oraon had arrived in Ranchi on Monday to oversee the election process for the state president and National Council members.
